What the software does
MenuBangla is built for the way most restaurants in Bangladesh actually work. Instead of a printed menu, a separate order pad and a notebook for the day takings, you run them from one place that updates the moment you change something.
- A live QR code menu with photos, categories and prices in taka that you edit from your phone.
- Table ordering, so guests scan, order and the ticket reaches your phone with the table number.
- Table bookings that guests request and you confirm.
- Payments straight to your own bKash, Nagad or Rocket number, or cash. We never hold your money.
- A sales and expense view, so you can see what each day brought in and what it cost.
- An optional points scheme and discount codes to bring regulars back.
Everything is on the web, so it works on any phone or computer with a browser and there is nothing to install or keep updated.
What it does not do
It is worth being plain about the limits, so you can decide if it fits. MenuBangla is not a full point of sale till: it does not print government VAT invoices, drive a cash drawer or a thermal bill printer, or handle payroll and stock counting.
What it does is the guest facing side and the daily money picture: the menu, ordering, bookings, payments to your own wallet, and a running view of sales and expenses. Many small restaurants, cafes and cloud kitchens need exactly that and nothing heavier.
How it compares with a paid POS system
Traditional restaurant point of sale software in Bangladesh is sold with a monthly licence, a setup fee and sometimes a hardware bundle. It makes sense for a large restaurant that needs printed bills and tight stock control.
For a smaller place, most of that cost pays for parts you will not use. MenuBangla covers the menu, ordering, bookings and the daily sales view for free, with no commission on orders and no card needed to start. If you later outgrow it and need a full till, you can run both: keep MenuBangla for the QR menu and online orders, and add a POS for the counter.
Getting started
Most owners are set up in well under an hour, and you can do it yourself.
- Create a free account with your email address and confirm the code we send.
- Add your restaurant details: name, city, address, phone and opening hours.
- Add your dishes with a price, category and photo, or upload a photo of your printed menu card to start.
- Turn on table ordering and bookings if you want them, and add your bKash or Nagad number for payments.
- Print a QR code for each table and you are live.
If you would like a hand setting it up, message us and we will walk you through it.
Common questions
Is the restaurant management software really free?
Yes. The menu, QR codes, table ordering, bookings and the sales and expense view are free, with no monthly fee and no commission on your orders. You only ever pay the normal bKash or Nagad charges on payments, which go straight to your own number.
Do I need any special hardware?
No. It runs in a web browser on the phone or computer you already have. Guests use their own phones to scan the QR code, so there is nothing to buy or install.
Does it replace a full POS till?
Not entirely. It does not print VAT invoices, drive a cash drawer or count stock. It handles the menu, ordering, bookings, payments to your own wallet and a daily sales and expense view, which is what most small restaurants need.
Can it track my sales and expenses?
Yes. Completed orders add to your sales, and you can record expenses, so you get a simple picture of what each day earned and cost without a separate notebook or spreadsheet.
Will it work for a cafe or a cloud kitchen?
Yes. Cafes, tea shops, sweet shops and cloud kitchens all use the same tools. A cloud kitchen can share its menu link for pickup orders instead of printing table codes.
