What a QR code menu does for your restaurant

A QR code menu is your menu on a web page, reached by a small square code printed on each table. A guest points their phone camera at the code, taps the link that appears, and your menu opens in their browser with photos, prices and descriptions.

For the restaurant, the big change is that the menu stops being a printed object. When the price of beef goes up, you change one number and every table sees it straight away. When the kitchen runs out of tehari, you mark it sold out and nobody orders it by mistake. You stop paying to reprint laminated menus every few months, and you stop handing out menus that are sticky, torn or out of date.

How to make your QR code menu on MenuBangla

Most owners are finished in about ten minutes. You only need a phone or a computer and your current menu.

1. Create a free account with your email address. We send a short code to confirm it is yours.
2. Add your restaurant: name, city, address, phone number and opening hours. Add your logo and a cover photo if you have them.
3. Add your dishes with a name, price, category and photo. If you are short on time, upload a photo of your printed menu card first so guests can read it while you type the rest.
4. Pick a menu look and add your own colours, so the page feels like your restaurant and not like a template.
5. Download a QR code for every table, print them, and put them where guests will see them.

That is it. The menu is live the moment you save, and the QR codes never need reprinting because the code points to your menu, not to a fixed file.

What guests see when they scan

Guests land on a menu built for a phone screen. Dishes are grouped by category, each with its photo and price in taka, and sold out dishes are clearly marked. Offers you set up, such as ten percent off a dish for a week, show their discounted price automatically.

Guests can also book a table for later, share your menu with friends, and follow the status of their order without signing in. An account is optional and only needed for extras such as points or pickup orders.

Tips for printing QR codes that people actually scan

A good code is easy to spot, easy to scan and tells people what they will get. A few things make a real difference:

• Print the code at least 3 cm wide. On a table tent or a wall sign, 5 cm or more is better.
• Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background. Avoid printing on shiny surfaces that reflect ceiling lights.
• Add a short line of text such as "Scan to see the menu and order" and the table number next to the code.
• Laminate or use a stand so the code does not bend or get wet.
• Test every printed code with two or three different phones before you put it out.
