How to take bKash and Nagad payments at your restaurant

Personal number or merchant account?

You can receive restaurant payments into a personal wallet number or into a merchant account from bKash, Nagad or Rocket. A merchant account is meant for business use, gives you a separate record of sales and is what the wallet providers recommend for regular business payments. A personal number is quicker to start with but has lower limits and mixes business with personal money.

Check the current rules and charges with your wallet provider before you decide, because limits and fees change. Whichever you choose, use one number only for the restaurant so your records stay clean.

Setting it up on MenuBangla

1. In your dashboard, open your restaurant details and add the bKash, Nagad or Rocket number guests should pay.
2. Turn on ordering. At checkout, guests see your number and the exact total to send.
3. After sending the money, the guest enters the transaction ID. It appears on the order in your dashboard.

Checking payments without slowing down

• Give one person at the counter the job of checking payments during busy hours.
• Keep the wallet app notifications switched on so incoming payments are easy to spot.
• If an amount is short, ask the guest to send the difference before serving, politely and privately.

Keep cash as an option

Some guests prefer cash, and some will have a low wallet balance or a weak signal. Always keep cash at the counter available. On MenuBangla, cash is the default choice at checkout, and wallets are shown only when you add a number.
