Claim your Google Business Profile
Your Google Business Profile is what appears on Google Maps and on the right side of search results when someone looks up your restaurant. It is free, and it is the single most important step for local search.
- Search for your restaurant on Google Maps. If it is already listed, choose the option to claim it. If not, add it as a new business.
- Verify that you own it. Google offers a few ways to do this, such as a phone call, a text message, a video or a postcard.
- Fill in every field: category (for example Restaurant, Biryani restaurant or Cafe), address, opening hours, phone number and website.
For the website and menu fields, use your MenuBangla link. It gives Google and your guests a real menu with prices instead of nothing at all.
Add photos, and keep adding them
Profiles with good photos get more attention. Add a clear photo of the front of the restaurant so people can find it from the street, a few of the inside, and plenty of your dishes. Add new ones every month or so; it shows the restaurant is active.
Ask for reviews the right way
Reviews affect both where you appear and whether people choose you. Ask happy guests to leave a review, for example with a small card at the counter that links to your profile. Never pay for reviews or post fake ones; Google removes them and can penalise the listing.
Reply to reviews, good and bad. A calm, polite reply to a complaint often impresses future guests more than the complaint worries them.
Use the same details everywhere
Google compares what it finds about you across the web. Use exactly the same restaurant name, address and phone number on Google, Facebook, Instagram, delivery apps and your MenuBangla page. Small differences, such as an old phone number, make it harder for Google to trust the information.
Give Google a real menu to read
A menu posted as a photo on Facebook is hard for search engines to read. A menu page with dish names and prices written as text is easy. When someone searches for a dish near them, a text menu gives Google a reason to show your restaurant.
Your MenuBangla page is built for this: it has your name, city, dishes and prices as text, with structured data that marks it as a restaurant menu. See what it includes on the free restaurant website page.
Link to your page from everywhere you can
Every place that links to your menu page helps people and search engines find it. Add the link to your Facebook page, Instagram bio, WhatsApp Business profile and Google Business Profile, and print it on flyers and bills. Local food groups and bloggers who mention you are worth thanking and linking to as well.
Be patient and keep going
Search results do not change overnight. It usually takes a few weeks for Google to pick up new information, and longer to build trust. Keep your profile complete, your menu current and your reviews coming, and your restaurant will show up more often over time.
